THE LITTLE ARTISTS
For ages 4 and up. This 7 Families game involves gathering 6 members of the same family, then as many families as possible. Whoever gets the most families wins (game rules in French and English on 2 of the 44 cards).
Key points:
• Each family is represented by a number
• Each family is represented by an animal
• Each family is represented by a colored background
A first step towards Art for the youngest. The Botablo family allows you to become familiar with some famous works such as the Mona Lisa.
Humorous game: only the grandfathers actually use the accessory, the other members of the family use it in a roundabout way.
The characters correspond to the accessory: elongated head and spiky hair for the Dupinceau family, plump characters for the Lapalette family…
To differentiate them, each family has a specific animal (for example, the chameleon for the Joliton family) and a different colored background card.
The members of the Botablo family were inspired by the following works: François 1er, by Jean Clouet (the grandfather); The Milkmaid, by Johannes Vermeer (the grandmother); Self-Portrait, by Peter Paul Rubens (the father); The Mona Lisa, by Leonardo da Vinci (the mother); The Fifer, by Edouard Manet (the son); and Las Meninas, by Diego Velázquez (the daughter)
Contains: 7 families of painting accessories (Botablo, Dupinceau, Easel, Lapalette, Patentuve, Tachepartout and Joliton.) and 42 illustrations.
