An activity binder to ensure, independently, that cycle 2 students understand the stories (two levels per activity). Please note, the albums are not included!

To accompany the reading of the albums, we offer a workbook with six activities (at two levels) for understanding the stories and vocabulary to be done independently.

• Reading rally: for each album, a series of 10 questions to ensure that the student has understood the text.
• Image workshop: a page of illustrations to check, using images, the student's understanding of the story the student.
• A series of four games based on the words in the text.

Objectives:

This first series of "Adventures of Pirate and Mosquito - Level 2" is dedicated to learning and consolidating reading practice for CE1 students.

They will follow the two children, Pirate and Mosquito, in their different adventures through short stories, easy to read and understand.

Teaching materials (activity sheets) is also offered to allow students to progress independently at the end of their reading.

• Listen to a story and demonstrate understanding by answering questions without referring to the text.
• Read, understand and interpret an age-appropriate text and react to its reading.
• Read and understand a story as a whole.

Album summaries:

Perched Cat

Moustique spends his Sunday afternoon at the park. There he meets Pirate, his best friend. Together, they share all their games, their imaginations... and all their discoveries.

Mystery Rabbit
Pirate brings his rabbit to school to present his report. But at recess, the animal has disappeared. Did it escape? Was it kidnapped? With Mosquito, they will have to solve this mystery...

Chase
After their athletics practice, Pirate and Mosquito go to the supermarket with Pirate's mother. The two children set off to explore the aisles and have some strange encounters there...

Otto's Garage
Mosquito is sick and has to stay in bed... but that's without counting on his friend Pirate, who pulls him out of bed to go play in her uncle Otto's garage. Among the old cars, new adventures await them.

Superheroes
It's Mardi Gras, a day of celebration and carnival. Pirate and Mosquito have dressed up to take part in the parade. But is it enough to put on a superhero costume to have superpowers?

March Honey
Pirate and Mosquito spend the afternoon in the countryside with Peppone, Pirate's grandfather. There, several surprises await the two children...
