ANIMAL REPORTS BY MAËLLE AND NOAH
3rd and 4th grades.
In this math file on the theme of rare animal species, the student must help Maëlle and Noah, two 3rd grade students who won a competition, to collect photos for their report on animals threatened with extinction. To do this, the student will have to complete activity sheets covering all the mathematical disciplines.
Contains:
1 workbook of144 pages (A4 format) contains 30 mathematics educational paths.
Each one brings together 6 tests covering the essential concepts of the discipline:
- calculation;
- numeracy;
- geometry or measurement;
- logic;
- mathematical games;
- problem solving.
The story also includes cultural data on rare animals from different continents and the dangers that threaten them.
The file is completedpar :
- a summary table bringing together the concepts covered in each sheet, for the teacher;
- a mission sheet in which the student reports their results throughout the year.
Objectives:
This educational tool therefore aims to encourage independent work. Students are invited to complete the exercise sheets at their own pace to support Maëlle and Noah in their reports. The teacher can also consider team research.
The worksheets work on the following skills::
- Understanding and using whole numbers to count, order, locate, and compare.
- Naming, reading, writing, and representing whole numbers.
- Solving problems using whole numbers and calculations.
- Calculating with whole numbers up to 9,999 (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and first steps towards division).
- Compare, estimate, and measure lengths, masses, capacities, and durations.
- Use the vocabulary, units, and measuring instruments specific to these quantities.
- Solve problems involving lengths, masses, capacities, durations, and prices.
