This workbook offers strategies for learning to read fluently and understand what is read to CM1 and CM2 students, regardless of their level.

Through 30 original texts, the Differentiated Reading Workshops workbook allows cycle 3 students, regardless of their reading level, to work on the essential strategies to implement to learn to read a text fluently. The same base of texts and educational sheets is available in 3 levels of difficulty, with more or less reading aids and words depending on the chosen level.

Each sequence is presented in the same way:

  • A text that will serve as a basis for reading. Several types of texts (narrative, descriptive, dialogue, cooking recipe, etc.) are offered throughout the pages to familiarize the student with different genres and registers.
  • Three fluency exercises: reading tool words quickly; reading syllables and the words formed from these syllables; read words from the text mixed with words that resemble them.
  • Three reading games: circle the word that matches the image; complete a word with the missing syllable so that this word makes sense; find the different spellings of the same sound.
  • Three comprehension questions related to the text.
  • A video projection application is available on the Jocastore; It allows you to view and listen to all the texts, to project the files and their corrections, and to add notes, hide or highlight elements via the graphic toolbox.
